Sympathy
The club wish to express sympathy to the family and friends of Brian McDonnell (Gortlandroe Nenagh and formerly of Grallagh) who passed away recently.
Brian had a distinguished playing career with Kiladangan. He was one of Kiladangan's main performers from centre back in the clubs North Under 17 Final victory over Borrisokane in 1957. He was also a member of the Kiladangan minor sides (who were combined with Burgess) that made it to North Finals in 1956 and 58 ( he was captain in 58). He played at wing back on the North Under 21 winning side in 1959 (again combined with Burgess). Brian played a prominent role on the Kiladangan senior team from the late 1950s into the 1960s. With the club dropping down to the Intermediate grade in the mid 60's, Brian was wing forward on the Kiladangan side that claimed the North Intermediate title in 1966. May he rest in peace.
Congratulations
to Joe and Jane Gallagher on the birth of their baby girl Caragh recently.
Well done
to past and present hurlers Tommy Connors, Hughie Flannery, Liam Kelly and Eoin Kelly who along with Brian McCormack, Cian McDonnell, Trevor Connolly, Mark O'Flaherty completed the 4 Peaks in 24 Hours challenge last Saturday where the lads climbed the highest peak in each province all in aid of the Suaimhneas Cancer Support Centre in Nenagh. A fantastic achievement by all. You can still donate online - just check out the link on the clubs social media pages.
